Jessica Drachenberg, MA-MFT, LMFT


Jessica is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Master’s of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Wheaton College, in Wheaton Illinois, with a strong focus on the integration of faith, personhood, and therapeutic practice. Prior to this, she received her undergraduate degree in Applied Psychology from The University of Illinois at Chicago with an emphasis on research to determine best practices. Jessica’s experience as a therapist began in 2013 in the Chicagoland area and moved to Arizona in 2015. She has experience working with individuals, couples, and families with children ranging from 0-18 years old from multi-cultural/multi-lingual backgrounds.

Her focus of therapeutic work rests in relational dynamics, attachment, early childhood trauma, depression and anxiety, families remaining together; conflicts in communication or disobedience from children to extreme behaviors such as outbursts, aggression and suicidal behavior. Jessica has experience working with trauma and abuse, typical, non-traditional, fostering, and blended families; and adoption. Jessica has been trained in the following treatment approaches:

Child Parent Psychotherapy – completed December 2016

Sand Tray Play Therapy – completed August 2016

Circle of Security Parenting – Group Facilitator – completed June 2018

She really enjoys utilizing therapeutic play and expressive arts to allow therapy to be fun for children and adults. When appropriate Jessica will utilize her training in systemic (relational) theories during therapy and will often include parents in their children’s therapy sessions in order to assist the child in growing at an ethical and clinically appropriate rate.

Jessica’s goal is to build a therapeutic relationship with you and your family, one that provides a new experience of relationship, in order to assist you on your current journey in life. She values open communication and encourages you and your family to discuss how therapy is working or not working as well as how much you would like faith to be integrated into your therapy sessions.

Jessica reserves the right to refer clients to another therapist or appropriate resource at any time if their needs in therapy are not a good match for her skills or experience.
