Specializations include recovering from dysfunctional and unhealthy families, domestic violence, trauma/abuse/neglect/abandonment issues, EMDR, depression, anxiety, spiritual issues, grief, and dating and relationship issues. Her skills, training, and sensitivity have especially equipped her to assist clients in connecting their head to their heart, boundary setting, relational intimacy, and communication skills. Tanya works with a broad range of ages from adolescents to senior citizens. Tanya’s life and work experiences have also given her a heart for working with senior citizens and caregivers for elderly adults.

Tanya has been involved with Mending the Soul Ministries since 2003 when she attended the original MTS training. She since has been involved with leading lay and professional MTS groups, speaking at MTS trainings, and educating churches, parachurch organizations, and other agencies on abuse issues. Tanya is the Women’s Facilitation Consultant for MTS and is a part of the planning, speaking, and execution of the trainings for teaching people how to facilitate MTS groups and create dynamic, safe groups.  Tanya’s coursework at Phoenix Seminary and involvement in MTS has provided her with additional training and experience in the area of the nature of abuse/neglect/abandonment and abusive families, effects of abuse, and healing from abuse.
