Amanda Courvoisier, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Amanda Courvoisier is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her doctorate from Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University in 2004. She completed her internship at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Loma Linda, California.
Before joining Journeys Counseling, she worked at CIFT Counseling, a non-profit Christian counseling center, for over 12 years where she was not only involved in helping people grow in her clinical practice, but helping other therapists develop professionally. She was the Director of Clinical Training where she oversaw the training program for unlicensed therapists through clinical supervision and in-service trainings.
Amanda specializes in helping people get to the root of their issues to help them understand and work through patterns that have caused them to become stuck in life. She desires to help people become free from those obstacles that inhibit them from growing and thriving in life. In addition, Amanda understands the difficulty that life can bring and wants to journey with those who need help navigating the rocky terrain.
Amanda has a passion for helping people struggling with anxiety, depression, attachment issues, and relational concerns, among many others. She works with adolescents, individuals, and couples. She is also certified through Prepare-Enrich to provide premarital counseling and has enjoyed teaching a pre-marital course through her church.
